Engineered for demanding hydraulic environments
Hydraulic tunnels, surge shafts and surge chambers must maintain reliable watertightness while operating under demanding water velocities and pressures. For new construction, Carpi provides engineered SIBELON® geomembrane systems designed to prevent leakage, support hydraulic efficiency and protect the structure over its service life.
Depending on the project configuration, the geomembrane system can be exposed or covered, allowing the waterproofing concept to be adapted to the hydraulic and structural requirements of the works.
Solutions adapted to each hydraulic structure
Our SIBELON® geomembrane systems can be adapted to different structures and operating conditions. Depending on the project design, the solution can be configured for hydraulic tunnels, surge shafts or surge chambers. In each application, preventing leakage means protecting also the surrounding soil from uncontrolled presence of water and potential instability.
SIBELON® geomembrane systems can be integrated into new pressure or free-flow hydraulic tunnels. Exposed and covered configurations allow the waterproofing system to be selected according to the tunnel design, hydraulic conditions, and structural requirements.
For new surge shafts, SIBELON® geomembrane systems provide a continuous waterproofing layer adapted to vertical structures and demanding pressure conditions.
Similar solutions can also be applied to new surge chambers, to provide reliable long-term watertightness.
