Masonry dams

Full Face/Partial Face

In masonry dams, the joints in the masonry are especially critical for infiltration of water. Simple repair techniques for joints are often just palliative and cannot be considered permanent repair measures.

SIBELON® geomembrane systems are a permanent solution to prevent/stop leakage at joints, and avoid costly frequent routine maintenance. They protect the joint sealant from further deterioration, and can withstand seismic events.

On aggressive masonry, anti-puncture geotextiles are used to protect the geomembrane and minimise surface preparation.
